Confirmation/Youth Ministry

The High School Confirmation Process is coordinated with Youth Ministry at OMGC. Preparation for a candidate’s confirmation entails two years of parish community involvement including regular attendance at Sunday Mass, attendance at the catechetical sessions, participation in various rites, performance of service projects each year, and a yearly retreat prior to receiving the Sacrament.  

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to prepare ourselves to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  To allow the Spirit to fill us with the gifts so that we can truly desire being initiated into the Church. We will strive to continue learning about our faith, so that we may grow in love to spread the Gospel.

Registration, each year, for this two year process begins in late August.  Classes are typically held the 2^nd and 4^th Sundays of the month in the St. Augustine Center (parish hall) from 3:30 p.m.-5:45 p.m.
