CCD / RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FOR K-8 |
During the school year, for children who attend
public / private schools. Registration packets are available in August
from the parish office.
Classes for students in grades K-8 are held
each Saturday from 8:20 -10:00 AM This particular program is also
designed to include high school students who have not yet received the
sacrament of Reconciliation or Eucharist.
Saturday Schedule 2011-12
Our parish offers an alternative program from
4:00 - 5:15 PM on Wednesday afternoons for those students who are unable
to attend on Saturdays. This program does not accommodate high school
students.
Wednesday Schedule 2011-12
Classes for preschool aged children are held in
the school building each Sunday during the 9:00 AM Mass.
Sunday Schedule 2011-12
First through third graders (including OMGC
students) process to the rear of the church for Children's Liturgy of
the Word during the 9:00 AM Sunday Mass.

| HIGH SCHOOL
CONFIRMATION |

- This is a two to three year course offered in
preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. The classes
are held in the St. Augustine
Center every other Sunday
- from 3:30 - 5:30 PM.

This ministry is open to all youth of the parish from grades
5
thru 12. Training is required in the proper procedures used in assisting
the priest at Mass. Contact the parish office or Fr. Ian for more

| EUCHARISTIC MINISTRY
TO KAISER HOSPITAL: |

OMGC provides Eucharistic Ministers to Kaiser Permanente/Sunset on a daily basis. A group of 20+ parishioners is involved in taking the Body of Christ
to those Catholics at Kaiser Hospital. If you would like to volunteer
and be involved in this ministry,
kindly contact Fr. Ian through our
parish office.

| CHOIR AND MUSIC: |

This ministry is open to parishioners of all ages and levels of
musical ability. OMGC Choirs are here primarily to assist in the sung
prayer of the assembly. All are welcome. If you have an interest in
volunteering in this area, please contact the parish office and we'll
be happy to refer you to the appropriate choir director for your preferred
