LOOK THROUGH THE WINDOWS OF OUR MOTHER OF GOOD COUNSEL

Religious symbolism is featured in most of our church's fifty-one stained glass windows. Of sacred persons, only  the Blessed Virgin, St. Augustine, and St. Monica are portrayed.

Two themes predominate in our window-symbols. The primary is Redemption; the secondary, our Blessed Mother. Symbols from the Old Testament forecast Redemption. Symbols from the New Testament  recall some climactic features of the Redemption process itself, as reflected in our Divine Savior's sacrificial sufferings and death.

Common to all windows is the effect of bright rays directed downward. These rays symbolize the down-coming to us of God's grace and love.

All window-glass is from France and Germany.

Design and fabrication were done locally by world renown artists Edith and Isabel Piczek.
